A little bit about what you'll find reviewed here

A little bit about what you'll find reviewed on this blog: I believe the best books involve characters you wish you could read more about long after the book is finished. Recently, I've been searching for hidden gems from the past. I read mostly fiction, and I'm a bit of a prude. I don't normally enjoy books with sex or excessive language.

Who I am:
I raised two wonderful girls, and I'm super proud of them. I enjoy reading (of course), sewing, cross stitching, photography and writing. I live in the high desert portion of Washington (which I didn't know existed until my husband and I decided to move here) and have really enjoyed my time out here. I am excited to see what God has next in store for my life!

Seagrass Pier (Hope Beach #3) - Colleen Coble

Colleen Coble is one of my favorite authors.  I’ve read many of her books, both in DTB form and also on my Kindle.  If I linked all of them, it would take up the whole review!  For this series in particular, the Hope Beach series, I’ve read the first two: Tidewater Beach and Rosemary Cottage.

Elin has been having cell memory from her heart transplant.  She’s having memories that aren’t her own, but belong to the murdered woman whose heart she now has in her chest.  Meeting up with Marc wasn’t a complication she was counting on since he’s the father of her child.  And she’s never told him.

Marc is furious to discover he’s had a daughter for four years and is determined to be in her life.  He’s also focused on trying to find the man who murdered his partner.  When the investigation crosses paths with the man frightening Elin, he comes to care for her more than he planned.

This book was a real page-turner.  I can always count on Coble to write a story with depth and a story that keeps me guessing until the end.  But there’s always that happy ending.  I enjoyed the side story with Sara and Josh as well.  Characters from the other two novels make appearances, but there isn’t enough of their stories that you need to read these in order.

The next release I’m hearing about is called The Inn at Ocean’s Edge is labeled as “A Shadow Bay Novel.”  This is going to be part of a new series set in Maine and comes out next spring.  I’ll definitely be on the lookout for it!  This was a good series that I recommend.  Good Book!

*I received a copy of this book from Thomas Nelson through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
