Looking into my book list yesterday, I realized that I had finished a book but hadn't written a review for it. I've read and enjoyed the first two books in this series, When All My Dreams Come True and When Love Gets in the Way.
Rachel begins making trouble before she even makes it into town. Luke is trying to enforce the law and Rachel comes riding up and offers her nursing services. She is coming to assist the doctor in town and is running from something in her past that she's not going to be able to hide from.
Luke is trying to keep Rachel safe. She seems to attract trouble and dangerous accidents. She also insists on sticking her nose where Luke doesn't think it belongs. He also has no desire to fall in love with her, but his heart doesn't seem to be listening.
Rachel feels strongly about Luke, but also has to deal with another young man and Luke's avoidance of God. His father was killed and Luke doesn't trust God to take care of anyone he loves. The two of them grow in their love for each other, but the trouble surrounding Rachel needs to be resolved for their life together to begin.
As with the other two, I really enjoyed this book. The characters from the other books make cameo appearances, but I really don't think that it is absolutely necessary to read them in order. This is the first trilogy that the author has written. In the past, she has written with another author, Elizabeth Ludwig. I hope that she will write more in the future. Good Book!
A little bit about what you'll find reviewed here
A little bit about what you'll find reviewed on this blog: I believe the best books involve characters you wish you could read more about long after the book is finished. Recently, I've been searching for hidden gems from the past. I read mostly fiction, and I'm a bit of a prude. I don't normally enjoy books with sex or excessive language.

Who I am:
I raised two wonderful girls, and I'm super proud of them. I enjoy reading (of course), sewing, cross stitching, photography and writing. I live in the high desert portion of Washington (which I didn't know existed until my husband and I decided to move here) and have really enjoyed my time out here. I am excited to see what God has next in store for my life!
