A little bit about what you'll find reviewed here

A little bit about what you'll find reviewed on this blog: I believe the best books involve characters you wish you could read more about long after the book is finished. Recently, I've been searching for hidden gems from the past. I read mostly fiction, and I'm a bit of a prude. I don't normally enjoy books with sex or excessive language.

Who I am:
I raised two wonderful girls, and I'm super proud of them. I enjoy reading (of course), sewing, cross stitching, photography and writing. I live in the high desert portion of Washington (which I didn't know existed until my husband and I decided to move here) and have really enjoyed my time out here. I am excited to see what God has next in store for my life!

Valentine's Giveaway - Kindle Fire HDX and 12 novels

I wanted to make you all aware of a giveaway that is going on February 1 through the 13th.  It involves some of my favorite authors and also some I haven't read.  The grand prize is a Kindle Fire HDX and 12 novels.  The books are:

A Beauty So Rare - Tamera Alexander
Butterfly Palace - Colleen Coble
Dancing with Fireflies - Denise Hunter
Hallowed Halls - Hannah Alexander
It Had To Be You - Susan May Warren
A Match Made in Texas - Mary Connealy
Princess Ever After - Rachel Hauck
A Promise Kept - Robin Lee Hatcher
Shadowed By Grace - Cara C. Putnam
Silver Bells - Deborah Raney
Somebody Like You - Beth K. Vogt
Wildwood Creek - Lisa Wingate

I recommend going to Robin Lee Hatcher's site to sign up.  You HAVE to complete the first 12 steps to even be entered, but they aren't too bad.  The reason I recommend Hatcher's website is because I had trouble signing up for Deborah Raney's newsletter and there's a link from Robin so you can send a message to Deborah through her Facebook page.  I went ahead and did this one since I was following some of these authors anyway and didn't have to post anything.

When you complete the first 12, another 12 steps will pop up. These include Twitter, Pinterest and posting things.  I didn't get all 24, but I did what I was comfortable with and left it at that.  I most likely won't win, the only thing I seem to be lucky at is getting jury duty letters, and I don't even want those!!  This seems like a neat contest and encourage you to enter if you're interested.  Have a great day!!
